With each of the three different spectra categorising this relationship (tool\/character avatar, designed\/desired performance, grievable\/nongrievable death) is associated a hierarchised binary that is subverted in Inside. The blurring of anthropocentered categories pushes the player toward a meaningful posthuman experience.
