<lom:langstring xml:lang="en">Mapping actor roles and collaboration dynamics in Perú’s impact investing sector: A systemic and actor-network perspective</lom:langstring>

</lom:title>

<lom:description>

<lom:langstring xml:lang="en">This thesis explores how key actors' roles and relationships shape transformation
dynamics in Perú’s impact investing sector. Drawing on a qualitative approach, the research
combines thematic analysis of ten semi-structured interviews with the construction of a
Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) to uncover patterns of collaboration, transformation
opportunities, and actor influence. Actor-Network Theory and systems thinking provide the
theoretical lenses through which these interactions are interpreted, offering a perspective that
treats both human and non-human elements, such as policies, narratives, and financial tools,
as influential in shaping change.

Findings reveal that transformation in the sector is closely linked to actor
participation, investment readiness, knowledge dissemination, and the presence of enabling
policies. In addition to well-known actors like investors and government institutions, the
study highlights the underexplored role of associations, cooperatives, and multi-role
intermediaries, particularly relevant in the Peruvian context. The research demonstrates how
informal coordination and fragmented infrastructure currently shape sectoral dynamics, while
also identifying points of leverage where collaboration could be strengthened.

This research offers a systems-based understanding of an under-researched national
sector, contributing conceptual and empirical insights relevant to practitioners, policymakers,
and scholars seeking to advance impact investing in emerging markets.</lom:langstring>
