These differ more in detail than in principle. The movement from a strict \nadherence to scientifically proven facts to an openness to the truth of myths and supernatural \nphenomena is widespread among the characters. Such a conception of history is precisely what \ncharacterises the icon Lara Croft in its reception as such. In Tomb Raider (2013), players only \nknow the Lara who was open to mythologies and the supernatural. The 2013 reboot of the series, \nhowever, shows for the first time how Lara develops from a conventional scientist to an explorer \nof scientific frontiers. For the archaeologist Lara, this automatically goes hand in hand with a new \nconception of history.
