In this context, \nthe focus was directed toward developing an education and training roadmap extending to \n2030 that was in line with meeting national and European climate targets. The aim is to ensure \nthat the skills needed in a climate-neutral building sector are available by the end of the \ncurrent decade. \nThis roadmap was developed under the leadership of the Austrian Energy Agency by an \ninterdisciplinary project consortium consisting of the University for Continuing Education Krems \n(Department for Building and Environment), the Styrian Energy Agency, the Austrian Institute \nfor Vocational Education and Training Research, and the Graz University of Technology. \nThe consortium’s main task was to identify the skills that will be required to overcome the \nchallenges that lie ahead and to show how these can be most effectively integrated into \nAustria's diverse education and training landscape. \nBased on regular and joint discussions with stakeholders from various educational institutions, \nprofessional associations, and other organisations and on the status quo analysis1 carried out \nin the project, this roadmap covers a total of five strategic fields of action. These provide the \nframework for measures that must be implemented to achieve a climate-neutral building \nstock. As of March 18, 2024, more than 65 relevant Austrian organisations have expressed \ntheir support for the implementation of these measures. \nThis roadmap shows which educational and training measures will significantly support the \nbuilding sector as society moves towards a climate-neutral
